Ashis Tamang is a 9-year-old boy living in New Life Nepal. Unlike many of the other children in the facility, Ashis does not have a neuro-developmental disability. He is a normal child who attends the 3rd grade in a regular school. However, due to his family’s difficult financial situation, he was unable to attend school regularly before coming to New Life Nepal. Ashis now receives all the necessary support from the NGO, including accommodation, education, and basic needs, so that he can continue his studies without any barriers.
Despite not having a disability, Ashis is an integral part of the New Life Nepal family, and he is deeply loved by everyone in the facility. He has formed strong bonds with the other children, and his presence brings joy and happiness to everyone around him. Moreover, Ashis is learning valuable life skills by interacting with the children who have disabilities. He is also learning to be empathetic and compassionate towards others who face challenges that he does not. Overall, Ashis’s presence in New Life Nepal is a reminder that diversity and inclusivity are important values that should be embraced by all.
